As I sit down to write this post I realize for the first time, in a long time, I was at a loss of what to write about. The past few weeks have been all about work and leaving little if any time to devote as much as I would like to my training and writing a well thought out post.
I say all that to say this, even though these past few weeks have been a little crazy for me I have still managed to find ME time and make sure I carve out an hour a few times a week that is just for me and what I need to keep myself sane.
Too often we get caught up in all the stressors that are life and we can lose ourselves in the process. This is very easy to do especially if you are not paying attention. If this is where you are in life, letting yourself or your “ME” time slip away, I encourage you to take a step back and revaluate what is truly important to you. If getting healthy or staying healthy is a top priority, then make time for exercise or to prepare meals. Whether it’s an insane work schedule (which I know plenty about) or running kids to and from events you need to also keep yourself a priority! A happier healthier you makes you better for your family and friends. Not only are you setting an example of a healthy balanced lifestyle you are taking care of yourself so you can take care of whatever life throws your way.
Here is a quick workout to jumpstart your “ME” time:
- 10 Pushups
- 10 Air Squats
- 10 Tricep Dips
- 20 Lunges (10/ leg)
- Repeat 3x
